And, this is what the playroom studio looks like now that I've changed it around. Floor needs vacumming. The before all the craft stuff was crammed onto the table the computer is sitting on. Now there's more room to spread and make a mess...I mean be creative. It's not a pretty place or inspiring like you see those studios on other creative blogs but it is functional.

Today there will be shopping. I need more paint.

So I finally figured out what was wrong with the Fin and Hawken movie rpg video I've been poking at for ages, I changed the song and it's working better.

Today will be spent on:

- Changing around the craft room just because.
- Working on Waiting for Odysseus.
- Poking at rp tags.

And the floor needs moping and Laundry done.

It's a sobering thought to realize in sixteen days I'm going to be forty one. O__O Unlike the last thirty years I don't want to waste the next twenty or so years if I am lucky to live that long.

Yesterday shopping I brought some jewellery parts, I'm moving into necklaces and making beaded trim, maybe for some funky purses and bags. Also working on a windows movie for Fin, which this one I like because I kept it simple. It's oddly making me want to play one of the other brothers...but according to a certain rant comm that's bad rp. I never knew I was doing it wrong all this time.

Today will be a quiet one spent painting and listening to my new theme song:

Kind of stuck in between projects, eventually there'll be some light at the end of the tunnel to see finished projects.

A killer migraine later and I'm surprised I actually survived. Blergh.

And, I'm thinking about what sort of side kick, 'General', Hawken would have. Which I shouldn't be.

Crafting towards finishes.
Painting.
Crazy Quilting.
Jewellery.
Stitching.
Maybe some writing - though don't feel inspired by anything.

I'm breaking up my craft magazines into four groups one each to represent the seasons. Going with the idea of working with the seasons.

I'm also in this odd mood where I am cranky at myself. Mostly because I now realize that the huge failure that is my life and every dissapointment I ever had and will have...is because of me. What a complete f***ed up mess.

Speaking of mess, had dreams in which Fin was pregnant to Nero (Star Trek Nero). It was one of those rolling epic dreams about love, betrayal, hurt, soap opera stuff, where in the end she says to him: "I can't be with you and watch your hate destroy yourself."

She walked away.

Today there is just going to be painting, stitching, replying to rp reps. And being kinder to myself.

And there is some movement in the craft room. I've started painting the 'Gypsy's Daughter' and love the shape of the canvas for this one. This stage of the painting is a far cry from the original sketch book drawing, but the same basic elements are there, but looking better. At least I think so.

Penelope is getting worked on in needlepoint...and it is boring. Needlepoint. Not the design. Think I'll fabric collage that one instead.

Crazy quilt wip of four blocks with birds and butterflies and blue is also getting worked on.

I'm also thinking about weaving.

Updated three muse journals. Fin is loudest. Audr has a new name and life and his profile is updated to acknowledge some of his history along with the changes.

I have this urge to roleplay Earl, from Saving Grace. And want to create a new watcher. Which means I'm recycling old characters. Blergh.


I spent Australia Day working on finishing up crafty things. There's no new things, yet.

I was going through my craft stash the other day and I sorted out a heap of crazy quilt blocks not stitched, imagine my surprise when I found they all were one size and just fitted the top of my bed - if I add sashing or a deep ruffle that'll make it big enough to fall down the sides of the bed. These were all random blocks, some for another bed quilt. So I just might get that bed crazy quilt I always wanted.

Other things I want and wish for:

1: Make a house a home.
2: Follow the moon.
3: A garden.
4: Cross stitching - lots of it.
5: Walls with lots of picture things - See number one and four.
6: My drivers license.
7: A house full of antiques, fairy things, owls, country and the color blue - See number one.
8: Follow the seasons - See number one.
9: A blog about number one.
10: Less computer time.
11: Baking - See number one.
12: Become a Hedgewitch - See number eight, three, two, one.
13: Somewhere in all that learn how to be content, happy and healthy.

I'm looking at the drawing of Penelope wondering what to do with it and I think I might give it a go as needlepoint. At some point I'll work it up as a fabric collage too.

So I poked Audr to see if I can do anything with him, I can't think of anything. And, Poseidon's more chatty so I may do more with him. I'll see.

Crazy quilts. Making do with what you have.
Working on a Crazy Quilt Block. Four squares of blue, birds, butterflies, flowers, tea, and make do.




Adding in things I have made.
-Polymer clay cupcake bead.
-Hand painted lace butterfly.



Making do:
Never discarding things, even the smallest scraps of fabric and lace to do fabric covered buttons. Keeping printed out images on t-shirt transfer paper that didn't have a 'nice look' because it is too glossy. Plain thrift store shirt buttons and mother's crocheted flower's. Dollar store motifs. Fabric scraps from swaps and thrifting. Cross stitch attempts. All of it finds a home on crazy quilts.

If I were to think I had a life lesson to learn, I'd think this is it. To be happy with what I've got and make something of it. It may not be flash or anything of interest to anyone else, and always just bits of things cast off by others, but I can do something with it to be at least content.

I pulled out an old journal that still has a lot of blank pages left in it, don't know what i am going to do with it but i think using the blank pages to work up rough paintings will be okay.

I'm stuck in this mindset where I want to move forward but I am clinging for dear life onto old habits that keep me where I am. I just don't want to do this crap anymore but there I am ... doing it or thinking I should return to it.

Blergh.

Today I want to work on Penelope and later probably Gypsy's Daughter. I have some old crazy quilts that I am persistantly trying to finish but getting nowhere fast - it's like what I said being stuck in the holding on mindset.

I want to get rid of things. But I don't know what.

I had one of those odd dreams in which I was watching a shopping network on pay tv. They were selling this thing which looked like a large sheet of plastic and people lay it over their cars, put it down on side walks and drive ways and the thing heats up like a giant electric blanket to melt snow so no one has to shovel snow or remove it from their cars.

...I'm pretty sure someone has INVENTED this and I've no idea why I am dreaming about it.


And, I had this idea Poseidon walks away from his throne and does a whole Kung-fu David Carradine thing by behaving as a mortal to see if he can better himself and be a better god. I'm thinking he could even drink from the river lethe to forget who he is.

I also need more coffee.

I finally got round to tweaking up the Hawken and Fin vid. Still needs some more tweaking to polish it up...well make it appear polished. But it's done ...mostly.

The drawing for The Gypsy's Daughter is finished and ready for canvas and paint.

There's a couple of 'stuck on how to finish things: it needs something more' going on but there's things going on.

I was stuck on what to do with it, but couldn't think of anything. I knew it needed a 'border' of sorts but was drawing a blank on what. Finally I woke up this morning and KNEW just how to improve it and finish it. Penelope and a couple of things are on the back burner till I finish other things.

I'm just so tired lately I don't have enough energy to keep up to it and want to sleep. I suspect it is iron and too much caffiene/coca-cola. I also have think bread is giving me some hellish heartburn. I think all of it from too much sugar. (sugar is in everything). So I am going to cut off bread and coffee see if that eases up the heartburn. If not, A doctor check is over due. Both sides of the family have had heart and stroke issues and all complained about heartburn before - a stroke/heart issues is not something I want at forty.

A five hour granny nap later and I get a dream in which Fin and Queen of the Damned's Lestat have a music war without knowing each other. They try to out-do each other on stage, gather the most public fan base, the bigggest awards, and see who wins with the most publicity.

It kept getting bigger more outrageous all for the sake of one wanting to be the most popular till I HAD to wake up because it was getting too stupid even for me in a dream. It was like a nightmare but not.

But Fin and Lestat ...

Mind wtf are you doing?
